Samsung Omnia (i900) also refered to as Samsung ‘WiTu’ is one of Samsung’s well crafted touch screen mobile phones. Having dimensions of 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 mm and weighing just 122 grams, this phone has a 256K colour TFT resistive touch screen, with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, and is powered with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
The Omnia replaces the traditional d-pad controller, and brings in to play the optical “mouse” directional controller, which makes navigation much easier and reliable. The Omnia’s display is a flush mounted one, which means it is easy for the user to wipe away those fingerprints and greasy deposits just with a single swipe.
The Omnia supports polyphonic ringtones, photo calling, and has unlimited phone book and call record entries. Samsung offers the Omnia in 2 capacities, 8GB and 16GB. Apart from this massive internal storage, Omnia also provides a memory card slot that offers users the benefit of boosting their phone’s memory by adding a memory card with a capacity of up till 16GB. This gives all multimedia fans and music lovers something to cheer for as they can carry those favourite movies and songs along with them hassle free.
The Omnia also features an amazing 5 Mega Pixel, auto focus camera with LED flash. This camera allows the user to capture images of a resolution of 2592/1944 pixels thus giving it a digital camera type of effect. The presence of 3G support, Stereo FM radio with RDS and Pocket Office, certainly makes the Omnia one full loaded Windows mobile PDA.
