Our Highest Honor:
The Marsh Award
The Marsh Award was presented this year to
Spring Verity, past president of MOS.
This award was created several years ago to commemorate the many
contributions made by Red and Trudi Marsh to the Malibu Orchid Society.
It is the highest honor bestowed by the MOS membership, in recognition
of exceptional service provided to the Society over an extended period
of time. Past winners have typically served one or more terms as a
senior officer of the Society, together with unstinting participation in
the volunteer roles needed to make the Society a rewarding activity for
its members.
The
award is represented by a perpetual trophy that is presented to a
different person each year, with the winner’s names inscribed on a
plaque affixed to the trophy.
